Cultural Anomalies
There is a bit of self-righteous indignation going down over at the BBC (surprise) given the decision to send Zoonation to represent Britain in the closing ceremony of the Beijing olympics.
Quite frankly, I’d much rather we sent these guys to represent us than Morris Dancers. A load of them turned up at our local pub the other night, it was like a convention of trainspotters who jig about a bit.
Although on reflection, maybe a compromise can be reached!

We seem to get into a right old mess in this country about what our cultural identity should be hitched to. I’ve got an idea - what about our proud history of civil liberties? Hmm, wouldn’t go down too well in Beijing.
